Playable ads run in the WebView/Safari of each device, including old, low-end iPhones. PNG, JPEG, GIF, and WebP are allowed. The formats below carry iOS limits.

PNG / JPEG

✅ Recommended
None
GIF
All versions
✅ Allowed
None — animated GIF plays everywhere; heavy for its size, keep small
WebP
iOS 14+
⚠️ Allowed (iOS 14+)
Renders blank on iOS < 14; animated WebP is memory-heavy — keep frame count/dimensions small
AVIF
iOS 17+
❌ Do NOT upload
Broken on iOS 16 & below; no progressive loading (blank until 100% downloaded)
HEIC / HEIF
Native apps only
❌ Do NOT upload
No browser renders .heic in <img> — shows a broken-file icon for everyone
SVG
Historical
❌ Do NOT upload
Rejected if missing xmlns namespace; strict XSS sandbox
WebP renders blank on iOS below 14. It is allowed because the supported-device floor is iOS 14+, but if your campaign must reach older iPhones, use PNG or JPEG instead. Keep animated WebP/GIF small — they are memory-heavy on low-end devices.
Do NOT upload AVIF, SVG, or HEIC/HEIF. They fail or render blank on iOS. Convert them to PNG, JPEG, GIF, or WebP before uploading.
Playable ads run inside the WebView / browser of each ad network and on a wide range of devices, including old, low-end phones. Always upload an audio format that those devices can decode natively.

Upload to Dashboard?
Why
MP3
.mp3
✅ Recommended
Universal — plays on every browser, Android, and iOS (including old/low-end devices). Hardware-decoded.
OGG Vorbis
.ogg
❌ Do NOT upload
Not supported on iOS before 18.4 (Safari/iOS WebView). Old and low-end iPhones play no sound. Also CPU-decoded, draining battery.
Do not upload .ogg (OGG Vorbis) audio to the dashboard. iOS only added native OGG playback in iOS 18.4 — every older iPhone and low-end device will play silence. Use MP3 instead. Reference: OGG Vorbis browser support
For animated overlays you can upload an animated GIF or WebP in addition to static PNG/JPEG. Animation is preserved on upload (the file is stored as-is). Keep the frame count and dimensions small — animated images are heavy for their size, and animated WebP is memory-heavy on low-end iOS.
