Sound & Music

Replace background music and sound effects, set volumes, and control first-touch audio.

Swap the music and sound effects in your playable, and control how loud each is.

Note: Each playable ships with default sounds already assigned. Replace them or adjust volumes as needed.

Sound Parameters

SoundWhat It Plays
Background MusicLoops during the playable
Interaction SFXPlays when the player taps or interacts with an object
Complete / Win SFXPlays on a successful outcome
Fail / Lose SFXPlays on a failed outcome

Each of these is a replaceable audio file. Upload your own to override the default.

Volume

SettingWhat It Controls
Music VolumeLoudness of the background music
SFX VolumeLoudness of all sound effects

Volumes are sliders — set them anywhere from silent to full.

Sound on First Touch

SettingWhat It Does
Enable Sound on First TouchStarts audio only after the user's first tap (on / off)

Ad networks and mobile browsers often block audio until the user interacts. With this enabled, sound kicks in on the first touch instead of being silently blocked at the start.

File Requirements

Upload MP3 only — it plays on every browser and device, including old and low-end iPhones. Do not upload OGG (silent on iOS before 18.4).

See File Formats for bitrate and size guidance.

Tips

  • Keep music loops short and seamless rather than one long track — smaller size, no audible seam.
  • Use mono for short blips (tap, win, lose) — half the size, no audible difference.
  • Audio counts toward the playable's total size budget — compress aggressively.
